I got to meet Stacy and her mom through her fabulous planner, Terrica from [Cocktails and Details]. I jumped at the chance to work with her because I love St. Simons Island! Despite my unfortunate 4th of July visit to Jekyll Island, (see what I’m talking about [here]), I know that the islands are gorgeous for weddings.

Stacy wanted a traditional looking cake but each tier to have a different design. She wanted to flowers and the topper to stand out. Her color was RED. And these were some of the most beautiful red roses that I have ever seen. Her flavors were french vanilla cake torted with raspberry mousse and french vanilla buttercream for the bottom and top tiers, and buttermilk spice cake filled with cream cheese filling for the middle tier. Stacy and her mom LOVED the buttermilk spice cake. Her cake was covered in buttercream and the bottom tier had fondant stripes.
